Bio: In the early years of their teaching career, Curt and Bev lived in the small town of Laurel, Montana which is named for a lovely flower called the Laurel. Here in South Carolina, a similar flower called the Mountain Laurel can be found growing wild along hillsides and riverbeds. In the summer of 2016 a beautiful bay horse arrived at the the ranch. With a thankful spirit for God’s goodness throughout the years, we named her Mountain Laurel in an attempt to blend the past and the present together. Our Mountain Laurel has a quiet, gentle disposition that seems to attract attention. She is often the first horse to greet us with a soft nicker of welcome, and she can often be found standing quietly so that small children can rub her velvety soft nose.
